Manhattan Covid Panorama

During the Covid-19 lockdown in spring 2020, Manhattan was startlingly quiet. Streets that are normally gridlocked sat empty, sidewalks were largely deserted, and most storefronts were shuttered. Even Times Square, usually packed with tourists and commuters, was reduced to a ghost town. Armed with a Noblex 135U panoramic film camera, I wandered the empty streets and documented a version of the city that felt impossible — a place that had, seemingly overnight, lost its defining characteristic of relentless, unstoppable motion.
